THE EXORCISM OF JUSTIN

Dear Friend,
My thoughts are supposed to be filled with "good cheer" this
time of year, but there is one disturbing scene I can't get
out of my mind. Certainly, I feel festive, but I'm also
saddened for those families who lost loved ones in the
recent Colorado church-related killings.
In the hectic
activity of this holiday season, many hardly noticed. After
all, only five people died, not as many as some other
tragedies. And it didn't capture the headlines like the
Omaha mall shooting a few days earlier. But this tragedy was
unique and entirely preventable. That's why I'm so saddened
- and upset!
On Sunday, December 9,
Matthew Murray walked into a Denver youth missionary
organization and murdered two people. He then drove
75 miles to the megachurch formerly pastored by the morally
disgraced minister Rev. Ted Haggard. At Haggard's
ex-church, Murray shot and killed two teenage girls,
in cold blood. Then, Murray shot himself.
Murray was a
Christian who was raised in a Christian family! But he
was mad at God and mad at the Rev. Haggard. Remember a year
ago when a male prostitute claimed he had a three-year,
drug-drenched, sex-for-hire relationship with the Rev.
Haggard? According to web site postings by Murray,
Haggard's
hypocrisy
was one of the reasons his rage drove him to kill at
Haggard's former church.
By reminding you of this moral
tragedy, I'm not trying to dredge up an old scandal we'd all
like to forget. I pray that the Rev. Haggard has repented
and moved on with his life, but there is an aspect of this
story that deeply troubles me. Haggard taught that
Christians can't have demons! Well, what drove him to
score illegal drugs and have sex with a male prostitute?
What drove Matthew Murray to commit murder at Haggard's
church? It was demons!
After this terrible
shooting, the new pastor who replaced Haggard said, "'Why?'
is going to be the number one question that we answer."
Friend, I don't have to wait for the answer. I have the
answer now. Demons! Matthew Murray needed an exorcism
and no Christian ever dared to find Murray's real source of
pain and cast it out in the name of Jesus.
Now, let me
tell you about another young Christian named Justin,
who was also filled with murderous rage like Matthew Murray.
But this story has a different ending. The first time I met
Justin he looked at me with a steely gaze and said, "I
want to kill someone! I want to slit their throat, rip
out their esophagus and feel the warm blood run down my
arm."
He went on. "I've been
filled with rage since I heard my mother's screams when I
was just five years of age. It wasn't until I was 18 that I
learned why my mother screamed. That was when my older
sister told me that she was raped by my Christian
father."
Justin's fists clenched
and his body stiffened. His eyes flamed with the fire of
pure hatred. "That's why I want to kill," he shouted.
"Someday, sometime, somewhere, I'm going to do it!"
I sensed that some
demonic evil deep inside Justin would make me his next
victim if it were possible. Suspecting I might be assaulted
on the spot, I had arranged for two men from our local DJWD
(Do What Jesus Did) healing and deliverance team to be with
me. One of them, Michael, weighed 265 and hung on to
Justin's left arm. Donnie, at 240 pounds, held Justin's
right arm. Justin was only 120 pounds, but he threw Michael
and Donnie all over the room.
Before the
exorcism of Justin was over, we had encountered demons of
Murder and Jezebel. The climax came when I served Holy
Communion to Justin and the demons choked and gagged as he
partook of the Body of Christ. In the end, Justin buried his
face in a waste basket and literally vomited up all the evil
he accumulated in his lifetime. It was a degrading but
liberating end to the torment he had lived with since
a child.
You have faithfully

deliverance don't really do it. That's why God is blessing
this ministry so mightily. We don't talk about what Jesus
did - we do it!
Soon,
Justin's amazing deliverance will be seen by millions of
people around the world. It was filmed by the camera crew
from our new TV reality series, "The Real Exorcist." We've
already been shooting for six weeks the first of eight shows
that will launch the series. "The Real Exorcist" is due to
premiere in March, in England, Europe and the Commonwealth
of nations - as many as 50 countries around the world.
Thousands of people like Justin will soon be calling and
emailing our ministry seeking help. We must get ready for
this spiritual explosion.
Let me
clarify something. This isn't an ego thing. I could care
less if I'm on worldwide TV. Shooting the start of this
series is exhausting. It requires my time for five months,
12-14 hour days, four days a week. This new series isn't
about me. It's about Jesus and His power to save and
deliver. Millions will see stories like that of Justin and
witness the God's power.
"The Real Exorcist"
pulls no punches. The name of Jesus isn't soft-peddled.
Lost people all over the world will see souls saved. And not
with large evangelistic crusades. There is nothing wrong
with that, but God has called us to minister directly to the
masses through television by telling the real, intimate
stories of individuals who encounter the love of Christ.
You also need to know
this isn't about money. Some have the idea that a prime-time
reality show must be paying me and the ministry a lot of
money. Because that accusation has been raised, let me be
frank. The revenue from this series wouldn't pay the salary
of the pastor of a medium-sized church. I signed on for this
series to get out the Gospel. The truth is, this series is
worth millions of dollars in free publicity for the cause of
Christ.
We are
going where the sinners are, in their homes, in the
bars, in lonely hotel rooms-everywhere people watch secular
TV. This has never been done before. No preacher, not even
Billy Graham (let alone a deliverance minister) has been
given this opportunity. This is historic. This is a last
day's opportunity to truly reach masses of lost souls and
usher in a worldwide revival! Our ministry will receive
little compensation for this series, but we are being given
the opportunity to expose the message of Jesus worldwide. As
a result, we'll be hard-strapped to handle the flood of
needy souls coming our way. The time to prepare is now, not
when "The Real Exorcist" is on the air.
You and I are on the
cutting edge of something new and great that God is doing.
It's never happened before. We are privileged to be part of
it. There has never been a more wonderful place to sow good
spiritual seed. Think of Justin. We were able to stop him
from attempting, and perhaps succeeding at, murder! How many
other senseless killings will be stopped?
You are
the only one going to help us walk through this door of
opportunity. Entire church denominations have attacked us
for talking about generational curses. Prominent religious
broadcasters have openly ridiculed us for saying that
Christians can have demons. The Christian media has ignored
us. But secular TV has embraced us. In fact, they are
providing the greatest media exposure of the Gospel in
history.
Help us
get ready for a huge harvest of souls. Help us stop the
next would-be killer in his tracks. Help us shout from the
rooftops that it's time to set God's people free in the name
of Jesus! Help us reach the lost and hurting with the Gospel
of Christ.
As we near
the end of the year, we continue to face the most severe
financial crises we've ever encountered. We've never
recovered from a disastrous summer slump. Thanks to you,
we've kept the doors open so we could seize this opportunity
of "The Real Exorcist" TV series. But what will we do when
it actually airs and untold masses turn to us for help?
If there was ever a
time for you to help this ministry it is now! If there was
ever a time for you to believe in our message, it is now!
Tomorrow, next month, next year may be too late.
Let's stop
the devil in his tracks and be bold. No more phony
Christian parents, like Justin's, who abuse their
children. No more pastors who say that Christians can't
have demons
and then live like the devil. No more murderers
who are fed up with the
hypocrisy of the church and open fire on our
children.
"The Real
Exorcist" will tell the truth and reach millions for Jesus.

turn to us? Will they get a voice mail saying:
“Due
to lack of resources, we are unable to respond to your plea
for help."
Will we have to draft a
response like this: "We are concerned Satan's attack on
your life. Due to a lack of support from our ministry
family, we are under-staffed and unprepared to find
appropriate
spiritual help for you."
You don't want that to
happen. I don't want that to happen. What if one of the
precious souls turning to us for help is a potential killer
like Justin or Matthew Murray?
